The Option of Private Counselling Support

There are times when the process of mediation is less straightforward than anticipated. Or it may reveal internal conflicts and interpersonal difficulties in addition to the challenging circumstances that have brought people to the mediation table. This may mean that one or another of the parties could benefit from the support of a trained counsellor, as they walk the mediation journey. Or even either side of the process – pre- or post-mediation.

Geraldine Newham of ‘Compass Counselling and Psychotherapy - helping navigate through life's journeys’ offers a positive option for you to come and talk in a safe, confidential atmosphere, to help you find a way forward.

Located within our mediation suite, but entirely independent of the Mediation Practice (and so preserving its independence and integrity), Compass Counselling and Psychotherapy offers a professional, ethical, non-judgmental, private service, adhering to the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy guidelines.

‘I have been working in Worcester since January 2012, in a general counselling service, where I have had a broad experience in working with clients from a range of backgrounds and issues – from depression, anxiety, social phobias, low self-esteem, anger management, bereavement, life-stage issues, loss, marital difficulties, relationship struggles, self-harming and unresolved childhood development challenges.

‘It is an immense privilege to have been trusted by each of my clients to walk alongside them and share part of their journeys.’
